They say every journey has to have a beginning and this story is no different.
I was just a lonely wandering shapeless cryptid living in a world where the world of cryptids were hidden from the human world and to me everything was perfect...... that was until one day amongst my travels, I saw..... "them" a group of "normies" with big machines with cages that seemed to contain several captured cryptids. in my shock to see my fellow cryptids being captured made me feel uneasy so I decided to follow this group of people to a warehouse where to my horror I have bared witness to these "things" torturing defenceless cryptids such as myself. I couldn't allow such atrocities to occur, so I waited for a time where these "normies" were gone and once I had an opportunity to set my plan into motion, I rushed in and freed the cryptids from their cages and we made our escape. cold, frightened and no where to go, the caged cryptids stook beside me and followed me where I went, days past and I came across this "normie" who seemed different from the rest, they looked upon us in our bad state and decided to help us. they gave me a form that was humanlike to fit in with the world and opened a portal to allow me and all cryptids to escape from this world, upon entering this portal we arrived in a world filled with peace and harmony and this plane became our new home..... leaving behind "The Echoes of the Unknown"...... a name most fitting for our new home.....
to this day, I watch over my little cryptids not as a simple guardian and protector of these little ones but as "Momma Cryptid" as they have given me the name and sees me as such. together we live in harmony and I swore to protect them from any "normies" that wish to bring them harm
